  • Who is Adapt?
    Adapt was founded in The Netherlands in 2011 by Pieter Wijnant and Olga Bouwhuis. Craftmanship is combined with state of the art manufacturing and contemporary design to give you the ultimate sports performance tools.
  • Where are Adapt boots made?
    Adapt boots are handmade in The Netherlands. The boot production is done completely in-house by Pieter and Olga. All CNC products are made in The Netherlands, all 3D MJF products are made in Europe and most of our raw materials have a European origin as well.
  • Can I track my shipment?
    Yes you can! You will receive an email with tracking info once your order has shipped.
  • How does the Build Slot system work?
    Due to the high intensity work of producing the Masterpieces, all our boots are produced in Build Slots. When you place an order for a pair of Masterpieces you need to select an available Build Slot. Your pair of Masterpieces will be made for you during the time period that is stated with your Build Slot. This way it is clear for you when your pair will be produced and when you can expect them to be completed. You can see the Build Slot schedule in the info section on the product page. Multiple pairs are made in one build slot, each build slot lasts 4 weeks.
  • Will I get updates on the production process during my Build Slot?
    Right now we do not give updates during the production process of your Build Slot. This is because we are simply focusing 100% on making the boots as perfect as possible for you. In the box with your Masterpieces you will get a polaroid picture of your boots being produced though!
  • How do I find my size in Adapt?
    When you place an order with us, we will help you find the right size for you. After we have received your order, you will receive an email with a sizing form that you need to fill in. We not only check the length, but also the width, what type of arch your feet have and whether you have any podological issues. You can check out the sizing instructions here:
  • How do I heatmold my Adapt boots?
    Adapt boots have two seperate parts that can be heatmolded; the shell and the lining. The shell can only be heatmolded at high temperatures and requires expertise. Therefore we pre-heatmold the shell for you based on your provided sizing info. It is not recommended to heatmold the shell yourself. If you do, your warranty will be voided. The lining you can heatmold yourself and this actually recommended to get the most out of your boots. Please follow the instructions in this video:
  • What do I do if I have fit issues with my Adapt boots?
    Although we do our best to get your boots fitting perfectly right away, all feet are different so it can happen that unforeseen adjustments need to be done to your boots. If you have any issues with fit, please contact us. There is a lot that can be done to these boots to make them fit for you. We can heatmold the shell, adjust padding and do custom work to make sure you get the best Adapt experience. Please email us at hello@adaptbrand.com
  • When does my order ship?
    When your order ships depends on whether you are ordering a boot, hardware or softgoods. Boots are made during their designated Build Slot. Please check the question 'How does the Build Slot system work?' for more info. For hardware and softgoods: We ship 2-3 times a week. This means that we normally ship within 2-3 days after receiving your order The shipment time depends on the country you live in. You can find the estimated shipment time for your country at checkout. For shipment outside the EU: Please note that this time does not include the time it takes customs to clear your package.
  • Which shipment company ships my package?
    Which company ships your package depends on which type of shipment you chose and in which country you live. Standard shipment is handled by PostNL. PostNL hands the package to a local delivery company like for instance USPS. DHL shipment is handled by DHL Express. If you are based outside the EU we highly recommend to ship items with DHL for a quick and safe delivery.
  • What are the shipping fees?
    The shipping fee for your package depends on 3 things: - the shipment option you selected (standard or DHL) - the country you live in - the item you ordered You can see your shipping fee at checkout.
  • Why is my tracking info not updated?
    If you have just received the email with tracking info it can be that the package still needs to be picked up from the Adapt office. Once it has been picked up, the tracking info will go live within 24h. If the package is already underway, it could be that it is crossing a country border and being delivered to a new shipment company. During this process no updates can be given, but once the package has reached its destination the tracking will be updated again. If you feel something is going wrong with shipment, please reach out to us so we can help you.
  • Do you ship to my country?
    Yes! We ship worldwide, so also to your country. In the past 12 years we have shipped to approximately 60 different countries and to each continent of the world.
  • How can I pay for my order?
    You can pay for your products with Payal, Creditcard, Bankwire or iDeal (for Dutch customers). Paypal: You can pay with Paypal by logging into your Paypal account. You can also use a creditcard through Paypal. If you are eligible, you can also use Paypal's Pay in 4 payment system. Creditcard: You can pay with creditcard by providing your creditcard info at checkout. Bankwire: When you place your order you will find our bank details at the confirmation page. iDeal: You can pay with iDeal by clicking the 'iDeal' option at checkout. For Dutch customers only!
  • I've selected 'offline payment', how do I pay?
    When you select offline payment you will have to make the wire transfer yourself. You can do that online with your bank or by going to your bank and request a wire transfer. Adapt Brand's bank details: Account name: Adapt Brand VOF IBAN: NL77INGB0007397697 BIC: INGBNL2A Please make sure you mention your order number in the description of your bank wire!   • Can I return an item?
    The Adapt Masterpiece boots are custom made items and therefore cannot be returned. If you have any issues with your boots please reach out to us so we can help you. Hardware/softgood items: You have the right to return any unused item within two weeks of receiving the package. You can get a refund of the money paid for the product, shipment costs not included. Any transaction fees charged by Stripe/Paypal are not refunded. Shipping the item back to us are the customer's costs. If you are based outside the EU we can provide a return label (including pickup) for a hassle free delivery.
  • Can I cancel my Masterpieces order?
    Cancelling your Masterpieces order: You can cancel your order at anytime before the start of your Build Slot. You can get a refund on your order minus a cancellation fee of €250. You cannot cancel your order once your build slot has started.
  • Can I cancel my hardware/softgoods order?
    You can cancel your hardware or softgoods order at any time before shipment. If you want to get your order refunded you can get a full refund minus the transactions costs charged by Paypal/Stripe. If you want to get a different item instead, please email us so we can arrange this for you.
